Love is all there is.
I will do anything for love.
All you need is love.
All we need is love.
Love hurts, when it's missing!
Love is not jealous, selective or judgmental. Love is generous. That means everyone deserves love and the more difficult they are, the more they need it. Difficult people, high maintenance people, angry, demanding, jealous, moody, depressed people fell unloved even if it is all around them. Feeling unloved as a child can often produce difficult people.
As a family support worker, getting to know my clients meant hearing their stories, their childhood, and relationships with parents and siblings. So much abuse fell on my ears, sad, heart wrenching truth. Eventually, I would ask them one question, “Who loved you? Who did you love?” An answer of at least one person, a father, mother, grandmother, grandfather, aunt, uncle, cousin, teacher, and friend, anyone dead or alive now still made a difference. These clients could kick their addictions because of that one person.
The other clients would sit there thinking and thinking then look up bewildered. Not one person who came to mind meant these clients felt unloved all of their lives. I knew the street, the drugs, the alcohol could easily pull them back. So sending love to them and teaching them to send love became important. All you have to do is visualize a white light going from your heart chakra (located just under the center where your ribs join) to that of someone else. That person can be in front of you or far away. It does not matter. They still get the message from you. If we all spent time daily sending love to friends or foes alike, even strangers you see on the street, this world would be much happier.
What we have right now is a world with hate, wars, hostile governments, and countries who hate each other. Hate does not make anyone happy. Anger and hostility begets more anger and hostility. Love and laughter are what can change everything.
We are all people, all of us. Every soul is connected to the matrix. War over there can affect us over here. The grief, anger, hurt gets to us all. The Tsunami several years ago was a shock to watch as the images came pouring in. However, people around the world rallied. There was a huge outpouring of compassion and love during that time. We were so far away from the disaster yet everyone in town talked about those people in loving, kind and compassionate terms. It touched all of us, grateful to be where we lived and sad for those who suffered. The Iraq war was in progress at that time and it was completely overshadowed by the Tsunami. There were stories of escape, death, compassion, help and great kindnesses. Our own Prime Minister was a different man when he returned from his disaster visit. He seemed very touched and spoke less like a robot and more than a truly human person.
I am not suggesting that you befriend everyone, but that's not a bad idea. How can I possibly get along with everyone? There are always reasons. However, I have a tendency to not want to hang around moody, angry, and cynical, judgemental people. If I have my wits about me, I will send them love. I can't tell you how many times I've missed that. When I'm angry, I will do my best not to react but to look at what's going on. I don't think I've made any good decisions when I have been angry. Yet, I do remember a couple of times when my anger saved me from potentially worse situations. But chronic anger, always finding fault with others, altered hostile moods are no fun and have a strong tendency to push people away. Misery loves company, but no one loves miserable company. Love is the way to go.
When love is true, it is never abusive. Abuse is not love, ever! When we fall in love, the world looks happier, friendlier because we are! The happier we are the friendlier the world is because we’re handing happiness out left, right and center! We should be like that all the time. We won't miss what's wrong but we can handle it a lot better. We attract nice people and situations.
Relationships start to shift when we feel unloved. A person who has never felt loved has the most difficult time recognizing love. There is never enough proof of love. So the relationship becomes strained, tense and resentful. Bad for the couple and worse for the children. Why stay together in a bad relationship? If you have tried everything, please leave. Otherwise your children will attract the same kind of relationship they felt and saw growing up. Lovely! If they saw moodiness, jealousy, anger, intimidation or even violence, they will be the same or attract the same.
Laugh a lot, sing a lot, read a lot, dance a lot. That’s what I think. If a relationship can keep you laughing, that's a great sign. The less expectations you have for each other, the better. Enjoy each other, have fun, spread it around. It's good for everyone. Be kind, and be generous with more than money.
2016
The leaders need to work more from their hearts and less from their heads. Lots of promises and little follow through. It seems that there will be less hostile communication from those countries who haven't been getting along for a long time. There will be setbacks for initial enthusiastic action. The blocks will come from higher authorities with heartless egos. Public face and private actions are two different things.
There will be miracles reported around the world. The main news media may not broadcast them as they don't seem to like good news. Look for them. Good thing we have the internet.
This is a year to end all the bad stuff in the world. It could happen if all the governments and religions decided to cut each other slack. Stop hating each other. Help each other. Feed and house your people. Look after each other. Everyone is precious, being born in the wrong place or wrong religion, or wrong tribe does not mean you should die. Be generous, give each other a chance as you do when you're in love. I would not want your children to die, why would you want mine to die?
This could be a great year for getting rid of what's wrong with the world or what's wrong with us. A lot of old traditional bad rules can literally fall by the wayside this year. Whatever has been stopping me or you from being our best will become apparent. I hope I can get rid of anything that is holding me back emotionally or spiritually. This year will point out personal national injustices. This is a great opportunity, lead with the heart and let the head figure it out.
